How many people can you possibly squeeze into a Nissan MARCH?

Teams from different walks of life came down to take on the challenge at The Cathay’s External Atrium on Saturday (30 April, 2011) and the highest record was 25 people from Team Hope!

Split into 2 rounds, the qualifying round saw the top 5 teams who managed to squeeze the most people into the March go through to the finals.

To mix it up a little for the final round, each team have to squeeze 16 people (the least amount of people from the last qualifying team) into the March and the team with the fastest timing walks away with a brand new Nissan March.

All final teams put up a good fight, but ultimately the Nissan March went to Team Hope for the fastest timing, beating Team Squeeriels by a few milliseconds to claim victory.

Race Track by Singapore Flyer

In line with International Women's Month and the launch of the new Nissan March, Nissan presents Class 95FM Stiletto Race on Saturday, 2 April 2011, 7am at the race track by the Singapore Flyer with a record breaking attempt for "The most number of people running a race in high-heeled stilettos at a single venue".

The race saw participants dressed to the nines in costumes and their stilettos racing down the track by the Singapore Flyer on a beautiful Saturday morning. Not only did they enjoy the race, they also had a chance to take part in the photo contest organized by Nissan. And 5 lucky winners who posed the most creatively with the decked out Nissan March walked away with a miniature Nissan March car model!

Spectacular powerslides, edge-of-your-seat action and unbridled adrenaline rush – fans witnessed the prowess of ferocious engines and more at the Formula Drift 2010, its third edition since its inaugural launch in 2008.

Nissan is proud to be the presenting sponsor powering this highly anticipated event. The 370Z was the official Formula Drift Car 2010 and the Murano was the Official Formula Drift 2010 Safety Car for the event.

More than 9,000 spectators were treated to a hair-raising experience as finalists burn up the course two-at-a-time, often only inches apart, featuring aggressive side-by-side action, nail-biting power slides and spectacular speed along a series of tight corners as powerful engines roar while tyres bellow smoke.

The event has become a sporting calendar highlight, attracting regional interest and talent, as well as a record number of 45 drivers hailing from Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, China, Hong Kong, Japan and New Zealand. At the end, reigning champion Tengku Djan Ley from Malaysia won the title for the 2^nd year running, edging his compatriot Tan Tat Wei at the final round.
